Forestry, Biomass & Sustainability 2010

The Forestry, Biomass & Sustainability 2010 conference is taking place in London at the Hallam Conference Centre on 13th and 14th of May.
The event is designed to provide delegates with a comprehensive analysis of the latest developments in economics, financing and policy for forestry and biomass projects. It also aims to aid investors to identify and understand the investment opportunities as well as the risks in these growth markets.
The keynote speaker for the event will be Tim Rollinson, the Director General of Forestry Commission of Great Britain and the Chairman of Global Partnership on Forest Landscape Restoration. Other speakers will include Pedro Mouro Costa, a senior carbon markets specialist, Dennis van Alpen, Head of Renewables at NIBC Bank and Duncan Macqueen, Team Leader – Forests at the International Institute for Environment and Development.
The organisers hope that the event, which will include information on carbon finance, will help participants to gain an in-depth understanding of the current market situation in the forestry and biomass sectors. Participants will also have the chance to network with the key players in the industry, including woodland owners, developers, investors and financiers.
It is planned that the event will be very interactive. Those attending will be able to put questions to the panellists and discuss the issues that are most important to them.
