Senior execs set to discuss investment in Brazil

A number of senior executives are due to discuss investment in Brazil as part of the New York Society of Security Analysts (NYSSA) Investing in Brazil Conference.

At the conference, due to be held later this month, representatives from public companies in the energy, water and mining industries will highlight the key growth opportunities their sectors have to offer.

In addition to the representatives, who include executives from Petrobras and MBAC Fertilizer Corp, attendees will hear from regional expert Audrey Kaplan, senior vice-president at Federated Investors Inc. Ms Kaplan will deliver an overview of economic and investment opportunities in the Latin American country to offer a broader perspective on the issues at hand.

The represented industries are performing well at the moment, but Brazil is also benefiting from investment in its infrastructure ahead of the 2014 World Cup and the 2016 Summer Olympics. Alternative investments, such as sustainable forestry, are on the rise as well, offering a whole range of possibilities for those looking to put their money somewhere other than traditional investments, which have not offered such good returns since the recent financial crash.
